About David Grey
David Grey is the managing director of CodeFounders Ltd and an academic teaching Computer Science at a university in the north of England. A practicing software developer with over 15 years of software development expertise in a variety of different technologies, David has also been appointed a Microsoft MVP (C#) on four separate occasions. He has written numerous articles and whitepapers, given presentations at international conferences and delivered custom training courses to commercial customers. He currently undertakes most of his development work with C#, .NET, ASP .NET and the Microsoft Server platform.
David also co-founded SEED Software, an innovative training programme which develops high-quality software solutions for business and the voluntary sector, whilst offering software engineering skills training to computer science graduates. Supported by Microsoft, Black Marble and the European Union, SEED Software exists to improve the employability of computing graduates by giving them the real-world experience which will help them to find a good permanent job. SEED Software produces the BRIGID fire brigade communications system which is in use with numerous fire brigades in the UK and worldwide. SEED trainees have participated in the production of the mobile data, server and command and control components of this system, as well as producing software for a range of other customers including Sony and the Atomic Energy Authority.
